The meaning of some words used in these Terms and Conditions.
We, us or our is a reference to SnapAdventures LLC.
You or your is a reference to the person to whom we are providing our services and who is required to pay for the services we provide.
Services means the trips, workshop, tuition we will organize. The precise services we will be providing to you will be stated in the literature including website(s) and newsletters advertising the services offered
The Terms
Legally binding contract
A legally binding contract between you and us will come into being when you accept the offer of services from us by booking your place.
We suggest that before you accept the offer and book your place you read through these Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions concerning them please contact us.
You should keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your records.
Providing the Services
Our aim is to always provide you with the Services using reasonable care and skill.
There are certain situations or events which occur such as but not limited to adverse weather, non or poor appearance or wildlife, Acts of Nature, war, acts of terrorism, riot or civil commotion, fire, strike and government or other official intervention which are not within our reasonable control and will affect our ability to provide the services. Where this occurs, we will where possible attempt to recommence performing the services as soon as we are able to. In such circumstances there may be a delay before we can start or continue performing the services. Sometimes we might have to bring the start time for the services forward. If we are able to start or continue performing the services or bring the start time forward but you choose not to participate for any reason you will not receive any refund.
Expulsion from Services
You agree to act in a suitable and proper manner whilst participating in the services with particular reference to the safety and welfare of wildlife and the enjoyment of the service by other participants and their safety. Should you be in breach of this we reserve the right to expel you from the services and in those circumstances, you would not receive any refund.Cancellation by us
If we cancel the services you will receive a full refund. If SnapAdventures is not able to lead the workshop for reasons of health or any other unforeseeable event then the workshop will still take place and a suitable guide replacement will be provided of the same quality and experience.Cancellation by you
Once we and you enter into a binding contract you will not be able to cancel the contract. This is so that the services we are providing can continue for the benefit of other clients. In the case of trips to Uganda / Rwanda, any money paid by you will not be refunded whereas paid as a deposit or in full payment. Booking reservations to see the gorillas is linked to your passport number, these reservations are not able to be altered.
Payment
XX% of deposit is required at the signing of this contract.
Full and final Payment is required by XX day’s prior to the workshop. This is due to the demanding Gorilla reservations.
Your details
In order for us to confirm your travel arrangements, you must provide all requested details by XX days prior. These details include but are not limited to full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry date and any pre-existing medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to complete your travel arrangements. Failure to provide requested details may result in non-refundable cancellation of your trip.
Insurance
It is your responsibility and required to ensure that you have adequate travel or other insurance to cover all eventualities where you do not receive a refund from us.Restrictions and Assumptions
We will assume that all information and facts that you provide are accurate and true such as your level of fitness and health. It is your responsibility to draw to our attention anything which may be relevant or which may affect you from participating in the services we provide before booking and making your payment to us.Inclusions
The ground handling price of your trip includes:
· All accommodation as listed in the Trip Information details
· All transport listed in the Trip Information details
· Sight-seeing and meals as listed in the Trip Information details
· The services of a Driver| Guide as described in the Trip Information details
· Airport transfers
· Bottled water for drinking during the trip
· Park Entrance fees.
Exclusions
· international or internal flights unless specified
· taxes and excess baggage charges unless specified
· meals other than those specified in the Trip Information details
· Visa and passport fees and vaccination fees
· travel insurance
· Optional activities and all personal expenses
Exclusion and Limitation of Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for our negligence or negligence omission which causes you personal injury or death.
We will not accept liability for any loss of or damage to photographic or any other equipment no matter how caused during or as a consequence of the services we provide.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate insurance to cover loss or damage to photographic or any other equipment before participating in the services.
In circumstances where we may be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you which is a reasonably foreseeable consequence of a breach by us of this Agreement, our maximum liability will be the amount of payment received from you for this particular service.
Age & Health requirements
Minimum Age: A minimum age of 18 applies. This is required by the Gorilla trekking park
Maximum Age: This trip can be physically demanding and you must ensure that you are suitably fit to allow full participation. We are able to provide details on mandatory health requirements; however, we are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice prior to travel for this adventure.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all our travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide your travel insurance policy number and the insurance company’s 24-hour emergency contact number on the first day of your trip; you will not be able to join the trip without these details
Flexibility
You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires considerable flexibility and you should allow for flexibility. The itinerary provided for each trip is representative of the types of activities contemplated, but it is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events.
Authority on workshop
Our group trips are run by a SnapAdventures leader. The decision of SnapAdventures leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveler or staff member participating in the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, SnapAdventure may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund.
Acceptance of risk
You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will be visiting places where the political, cultural and geographical attributes present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in our daily lives. It is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks’ attendant upon such travel.
Limitation of liability
We contract with a network of companies, government agencies and individuals to assist in the running of our trips as agent for these third parties. We are not responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
– any liability for any loss, death, injury or damage which you may suffer (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising out of your participation in a trip, or any breach of the Booking Conditions, is excluded;
– you release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation in a trip; and
– any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied by law into these Booking Conditions (Implied Warranty), is excluded.
To the extent an Implied Warranty cannot be excluded, our liability in respect of the Implied Warranty is limited to (in our absolute discretion):
1. the provision of a similar trip to an equivalent value; or
2. a refund of the total amount received by us from you in connection with your booking. Any claim by you is excluded to the extent that it is for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or economic loss, however it arises, or for indirect, special, punitive or exemplary damages.
Optional activities
Optional activities not included in the trip price do not form part of the trip or this contract. You accept that any assistance given by SnapAdventures or local representative in arranging optional activities does not render us liable for them in any way. The contract for the provision of that activity will be between you and the activity provider.
Claims & complaints
If you have a complaint about your trip please inform your group leader or our local representative at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of the end of the workshop.
Photos and marketing
You consent to us using images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.
Privacy policy
Any personal information that we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of a Trip or to send you marketing material in relation to our events and special offers. The information may be disclosed to our agents, service providers or other suppliers to enable us to operate the Trip. We will otherwise treat your details in accordance with our privacy policy (available for viewing on our Website).
Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999
For the purposes of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 this Agreement is not intended to, and does not, give any person who is not a party to it any right to enforce any of its provisions.Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions of Business constitute the entire Agreement between us and you and shall apply to all services provided by us. The invalidity or un-enforceability of any particular term of this Agreement shall not affect the other provisions herein.Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed and construed by the Law of USA and you and we agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of USA.
Terms and Conditions
SnapAdventures LLC
1. Definitions
We, us, or our refers to SnapAdventures LLC.
You or your refers to the person receiving our services and responsible for payment.
Services refers to the trips, workshop, tuition, or workshops organized by us, as described on our website and other promotional materials.
2. Legally Binding Contract
A legally binding contract is formed when you book your place after accepting our offer of services.
Review these Terms and Conditions before booking. Contact us with any questions.
Keep a copy of these Terms for your records.
3. Providing Services
We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill.
Delays or disruptions caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, wildlife, acts of nature, strikes) may occur. We will resume services as soon as possible, but no refunds will be issued if you choose not to participate.
Expulsion from Services: You must behave appropriately, prioritizing safety and respect for others and wildlife. We reserve the right to expel participants who breach these terms, with no refund.
4. Cancellation by Us
If we cancel the services, you will receive a full refund.
If SnapAdventures cannot lead the workshop, a suitable guide of equal quality will be provided.
5. Cancellation by You
Once a contract is formed, you cannot cancel it. For Uganda/Rwanda trips, no refunds will be provided for payments, including deposits.
Gorilla permits are non-transferable and linked to your passport.
6. Payment
A deposit of XX% is required upon signing the contract.
Full payment is due XX days prior to the workshop due to gorilla reservation requirements.
7. Your Details
You must provide all requested details (e.g., full name, passport info, health conditions) XX days prior to the trip. Failure to do so may result in a non-refundable cancellation.
8. Insurance
You must have adequate travel insurance to cover all eventualities not covered by us.
9. Assumptions
We assume the accuracy of the information you provide regarding fitness and health. It is your responsibility to disclose anything relevant that may affect your participation.
10. Inclusions
Your trip includes:
Listed accommodation, transport, and meals
Driver/Guide services
Airport transfers
Park entrance fees
Bottled drinking water
11. Exclusions
Exclusions include:
International/internal flights
Taxes, excess baggage charges
Meals not listed in trip details
Visa/passport fees, vaccinations
Travel insurance
Optional activities and personal expenses
12. Limitation of Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.
We are not liable for damage to photographic or other equipment.
Ensure you have insurance covering equipment loss/damage.
Our maximum liability for foreseeable loss or damage is limited to the amount paid for the services.
13. Age & Health Requirements
Minimum age: 18 (required for gorilla trekking).
Maximum age: You must ensure you are fit to participate. Consult a medical professional if needed.
14. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory, covering personal accident, death, medical expenses, and repatriation with a minimum of $200,000. Provide your insurance details on the first day of the trip.
15. Flexibility
You acknowledge that itineraries may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
16. Authority on Workshop
The SnapAdventures leader’s decisions are final regarding safety and well-being. Non-compliance may result in expulsion from the trip without a refund.
17. Acceptance of Risk
You accept the personal risks involved in adventurous travel. It is your responsibility to stay informed and aware of any travel risks.
18. Limitation of Liability
We work with third parties, but are not liable for their actions or omissions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any claims against us.
19. Optional Activities
Optional activities not included in the trip price are not part of this contract. We are not liable for them.
20. Claims & Complaints
Report complaints to your group leader during the trip. If unresolved, submit a written complaint within 30 days of the workshop’s end.
21. Photos & Marketing
You consent to our use of photos taken during the trip for marketing purposes.
22. Privacy
We may collect and share your personal information with relevant agents or service providers to operate the trip.
23. Third-Party Rights
This agreement does not grant any third-party rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
24. Entire Agreement
These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and SnapAdventures.
25. Law & Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by U.S. law, and disputes will be subject to U.S. courts.
Our Booking Terms & Conditions
Please take the time to read and understand the conditions of booking set out below prior to booking a trip with SnapAdventures. We strongly recommend that you also read the XyXyXy Information relating to your trip prior to booking to ensure that you understand the itinerary, style and physical demands of the trip you are undertaking.
1. Our contract
All bookings are made with SnapAdventures LLC. By booking a trip with us you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and us) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation invoice.
3. Deposit requirement
You are required to pay a nonrefundable deposit of 40% of the trip amount for your booking to be confirmed. If your booking is made within 60 days of the departure date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking. Please note that different deposits amounts are required for selected trips including Gorilla and Chimpanzee bookings.
4. Acceptance of booking and final payments
If we accept your booking we will issue a confirmation invoice. A contract will exist between us from the date we issue the confirmation invoice or if you book within 30 days of departure the contract will exist when we accept your payment. Please refer to your booking confirmation invoice for details regarding final payments. Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 45 days before the departure date. Please note that full payment is required earlier for gorilla and chimpanzee permit bookings. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.
6. Your details
In order for us to confirm your travel arrangements, you must provide all requested details with the balance of the trip price. Necessary details include but are not limited to full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry date and any pre-existing medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to complete your travel arrangements. On some more demanding trips, we also require you to complete and forward a Self-Assessment form. Failure to provide requested details may result in non-refundable cancellation of your trip.
7. Cancellation by the traveler
If you cancel some or all portions of your booking cancellation fees will apply. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation.
If you cancel a trip:
· For up to 48 hours prior to departure, we will retain 100% of the deposit less bank charges;
You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees. If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. If you fail to join a workshop, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. The above cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation providers, travel agents or third party workshop and transport operator fees.
8. Cancellation by us
Our trips are guaranteed to depart once they have one fully paid traveler unless minimum group size specifically states otherwise. We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to alternate departure date or receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.

11. Exclusions

· meals other than those specified in the Trip Information details
· Visa and passport fees
· travel insurance
· Optional activities and all personal expenses
12. Age & Health requirements
Minimum Age: A minimum age of 18 applies
Maximum Age: For the majority of our trips we have no upper age limit though we remind you that our trips can be physically demanding and passengers must ensure that they are suitably fit to allow full participation. We are able to provide details on mandatory health requirements; however, we are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice at least two months prior to travel for the latest health requirements and recommendations.
14. Passport and visas
You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas, permits and certificates for the countries which you will visit during your trip. Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip; please refer to the Trip Information details for details. We are not responsible if you are refused entry to a country because you lack the correct passport, visa or other travel documentation.
15. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all our travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the categories of cover. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. You must provide your travel insurance policy number and the insurance company’s 24-hour emergency contact number on the first day of your trip; you will not be able to join the trip without these details. If you have travel insurance connected to your credit card or bank account please ensure you have details of the participating insurer, the insurance policy number and emergency contact number with you rather than the bank’s name and credit card details.
16. Flexibility
You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires considerable flexibility and you should allow for alternatives. The itinerary provided for each trip is representative of the types of activities contemplated, but it is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events.
17. Change of itinerary
While we endeavor to operate all trips as described we reserve the right to change the trip itinerary. Please refer to our website before departure for the most recent updates to your itinerary.
Before departure: If we make a major change, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before departure. The definition of a major change is deemed to be a change affecting at least one day in five of the itineraries.
After departure: We reserve the right to change an itinerary after departure due to local circumstances or events outside of our control. In such emergency circumstances, the additional cost of any necessary itinerary alterations will be covered by you. Please note we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that may be incurred as a result of the change of itineraries such as visas, vaccinations or non-refundable flights.
18. Authority on workshop
Our group trips are run by a group leader. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveler or staff member participating in the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a group leader or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund. We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited, and you also agree to travel in accordance with our responsible travel guidelines.
19. Acceptance of risk
You acknowledge that the nature of the trip is adventurous and participation involves a degree of personal risk. You will be visiting places where the political, cultural and geographical attributes present dangers and physical challenges greater than those present in our daily lives. We use information from government foreign departments and reports from our own contacts in assessing whether the itinerary should operate. However, it is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information and the nature of your itinerary. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks’ attendant upon such travel.
20. Limitation of liability

24. Photos and marketing
You consent to us using images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images for publicity and promotional purposes.

26. Applicable law
The laws of Uganda, govern these Booking Conditions to the fullest extent permissible. Any disputes in connection with a trip or these Booking Conditions must be initiated in the courts of Uganda.
